THE CONCORD PLAYERS NEEDS YOUR HELPBecause of continuing sound problems with our productions, in April of 2010, a Sound Evaluation Committee was formed to evaluate the sound equipment and system in our theater at 51 Walden Street in Concord, Ma. Tom Sikina, Paul Gill, Ed Council, Ed DiMarzio, Mark Elliott, Rick Shamel and Susan Tucker spent 6 months evaluating our needs. The project was divided into 3 phases. The first phase involved the purchase and installation of a loudspeaker array and its support electronics to upgrade our sound quality. Thanks to the generosity of Concord Players' Members, Subscribers, Casts, Crews, our Audiences, and local Foundations, we were able to complete this first phase and installed the new speakers and its support electronics in time for "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," the last production of our 2010-2011 season. The second phase starts now. We need to raise $15,000 in order to upgrade our Hearing Assistance Devices. Please help us provide this new equipment for our audiences. We want everyone to hear every word. There are several ways you can donate to this project: We are most grateful for your donation. If you have questions, or suggestions on how we can reach this goal, please contact: Jay Newlon, President, or Jill Henderson, Chair of Fund Raising. |
